Where do I get the SJ 40th Anniversary Poster and stickers?
The poster will be available in the August 2008 issue SHONEN JUMP Magazine. After that it will be available at select retailers and through store.viz.com.

The stickers will be available in select SHONEN JUMP manga and DVD products released in the months of August, September and October 2008. Go back to the main sweepstakes page and click on the "Collectible Poster" section for updated lists of retailers that will have the poster and the SHONEN JUMP products that will have stickers and entry forms.

Do I have to send in the pin-up poster with the stickers to enter the sweepstakes?
Nope. That is yours to keep.

Entering the sweepstakes

How do I enter/play the SHONEN JUMP Experience Sweepstakes?
Fill out the entry form found in select SHONEN JUMP products completely, put it in an envelope, add the right amount of postage and your return address. Only one entry form is allowed per outer postmarked envelope. When you're done, mail the form to:

Don't forget! The envelopes with your entry forms MUST be postmarked by October 15, 2008 and received by October 31, 2008 in order to be counted.

How old do I have to be to enter?
Open only to legal residents of the U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are age 13 or older and located in the U.S. or Canada at the time of entry.

How many times can I enter the sweepstakes?
You can enter as many times as you like. But remember, only one entry form per outer postmarked envelope is allowed. If you put multiple entry forms in one stamped envelope, only one of those forms will count.

Can I make copies of the entry forms and send them in?
No. Mechanical reproductions or copies of the entry form will not be accepted.

What is the deadline to mail in my entry form?
The envelope(s) with your entry form(s) MUST be postmarked by October 15, 2008 and received by October 31, 2008 in order to be counted.

What does it mean when it says "only one entry form per outer postmarked envelope is allowed"?
That means that when we receive your envelope, there should only be one entry form inside.

Can I send multiple entry forms in separate envelopes inside one larger envelope?
No. Only one of those forms will be counted.

Can I enter without buying anything?
Yes. There is an alternate free means of entry, so you can enter without the entry form found in selected VIZ Media products. On a blank sheet of paper, simply write, clearly and legibly, the following information: name, complete address (street address, apartment number if applicable, city, state/province, zip code) birth date (month, date, year), and telephone number. Mail it in the same way as described above.

Information on the Grand Prize

How many winners will be selected for the Japan trip?
Only one winner can be selected and that person will go to Japan with a companion. The winner will have to provide proof of their identity, age and address in order to claim the prize. If for some reason, the winner cannot go on the trip, then the winner forfeits the trip.

What are my odds of winning the trip to Japan?
The chances of winning depend on the number of entries we receive, which we won't know until the end.

What is the Grand Prize?
A 6-day/5-night trip for two (2) to the JUMP FESTA '09 convention in Tokyo, Japan on dates during the permitted travel period of December 17, 2008 to December 22, 2008 (subject to blackout dates as set forth below) which dates shall be subject to approval by Sponsors ("Grand Prize"). Winner and up to one guest will each receive a round-trip plane ticket (coach airfare), to/from Tokyo, Japan from/to the airport closest to winner's residence and will stay at a Sponsors' designated hotel (double occupancy). Round trip travel must be completed by 12/22/08. Winner and up to one guest will also each receive a non-transferable two-day pass to the JUMP FESTA '09 convention to be held in Tokyo, Japan from December 20, 2008 to December 21, 2008.

If I win and I'm considered a minor (usually under age 18 or 19, depending on state/province), do I have to go with an adult?
Yes, but not just any adult. You will have to go on the trip with your parent or your legal guardian.

If I win and I'm not a minor, can I go with someone who's a minor?
A minor may accompany the winner as a travel guest only if the winner is the minor's parent or legal guardian and is legally authorized to travel with the minor.

When will the winner's name be drawn?
The Grand Prize winner will be selected in a random drawing to take place in San Francisco, California on or about 11/05/08 by VIZ Media, LLC.

How will VIZ Media contact the winner?
VIZ Media, LLC will notify the prize winner by certified postal mail or overnight courier.

How much is the grand prize worth?
The ARV of the travel prize is $4,500.00 USD/$4,584.59 CDN. Winner and travel companion, if applicable, are solely responsible for all federal, state and local taxes on any prize.

Can the winner substitute the prize for cash?
No. But, if for some reason VIZ Media is unable to fulfill the grand prize as described in the Official Rules, the winner will be compensated with a prize of an equal value.

Surprise gifts

How do I get a surprise gift?
The special round bonus stickers are found on the same sheet as the character stickers in select SHONEN JUMP products. Once you've collected three special round bonus stickers, place them all on the back of the entry form. Make sure you've filled out all of your information on the other side of the form and mail it in as instructed under the "Entering the Sweepstakes" section above.

When we've received your submission, we will check to make sure everything is valid and then we'll send out the gift, while supplies last.

What is the surprise gift?
That would ruin the surprise then, wouldn't it? In September, we will reveal the names of our partner companies and the list of possible gifts. Check this website regularly for more information.

When will I get the surprise gift after sending in the entry form with all 3 bonus stickers?
Once we have verified that everything is correct and valid on your submission form, we plan to start mailing surprise gifts in December. It may take another 3-4 weeks for you to receive your gift once it's mailed.

How many times can I get a surprise gift?
Each household can qualify for up to two gifts. This means only two gifts can be sent to the same address.

Yes, just send the form as instructed under the "Entering the Sweepstakes" above. If you don't have bonus stickers on your form, it will not affect your sweepstakes entry.
